Call for papers
We invite authors to submit their papers (long abstracts are also accepted) to the Workshop on “Intuition, Reasoning, and Prosocial Behavior” to be held at the University of Pisa, Department of Economics and Management on the 19th and 20th of February, 2017.
The workshop is the conclusive event of the Research Project on “The Economics of Intuition and Reasoning: a Study On the Change of Rational Attitudes under Two Elaboration Systems” – SOCRATES, financed by Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research in 2013.
The leading topic of the workshop will be the relationship between the modes of decision-making (intuition and reasoning) and the prosociality of economic behaviors (the feature of behaviors that are based on other-interested – as opposed to self-interested – motives). Theoretical as well as empirical/experimental works are welcome.
The workshop will host four keynote lectures and a limited number of selected presentations. Lunches, coffee-breaks, and a social dinner on Sunday eve will be offered to all the participants.
